When your blog becomes someone elses.

I decided the other day to do a search on the net and see what activity my blog is having. I was quite shocked to find at least a dozen of my posts had been ripped and posted onto another blog without crediting me as the source. That's text and photographs, including the post about my accident and injury to my arm, which I take personally. I have posted a few of the links below so that anyone interested can take a look. I say this because it looks as though they are doing the same with other blogs too. Although there seems to be no recent activity.

The other blogs posts:

I wonder what other people think. What do my fellow bloggers, not the ones who take others hard work, think about this kind of activity? Have you experienced the same? In my opinion, it's un-ethical, and probably theft in some way.

  1. I think you should make blogger aware of it and have them take the site down.

    1. Yeah, the site seems to have stopped posting, but still, it has my work on it. It will be interesting to see what Google/Blogger say about it.

  2. Bastards!
I tried one of the links to see where it took me. Initially it went to youe blog entry under the guise of pochasilver - then it directed me to a porn site.

    1. I've not experienced that bit, there is an advertising link on that blog which may have caused it. It riles me that our hard work is being used by these people for their own gain.

  3. Sadly it is hard to believe how common it is. Even from others blogging about climbing. Loev the last response I got from some jerk wad I called on it. "I only quoted you".

It is stealing clear and simple.

    Thanks for the link Marc!

    1. No worries. We may never stop it, but might be able to reduce it.
